Đã được phôi thai trong rất nhiều đêm.
Was written during many a night.
Trong cơn ngủ say,
During my deep sleep
Tôi đã thấy
I saw floating
Bập bềnh trong đầu óc
In my mind
Một ngôi mộ bằng granite mầu hồng
A tomb made of pink granite
Lững lờ trôi trong không gian.
Wandering in space.
Tôi không hề sợ hãi
Without fear
Bình thản mà ngắm nhìn nấm mồ
I was lying still to watch the tomb
Nổi trôi trong đầu óc.
Drifting in my head.
Một nấm mồ mầu hồng
The pink granite tomb
Bồng bềnh trong nhiều đêm khác nhau.
Floating – night after night.
Thế rồi,
Then
Cũng trong nhiều giấc ngủ nửa đêm về sáng
Also during my midnight slumbers
Trong đầu óc đã hiện ra
In my mind loomed
Một màn đêm tối đen
A pitch-dark night
Ở phía dưới
At the bottom
Với phần xám xịt
And a dull-gray part
Ở phía trên.
On top.
Trong cái màn đêm đó,
In that pitch-dark night
Là những đốm lờ mờ
Were blurry specs
Trông giống như những que củi ngắn
Shaped like short wooden sticks
Lững lờ, bập bềnh trôi
Floating aimlessly
Trong khoảng trống không gian vô định.
In the immense space
Tôi không hề sợ hãi
I was not scared
Nhưng cảm nhận thấy lòng buồn vô hạn.

Đã theo tôi
Had followed me
Tự đêm này qua đêm khác.

Human bodies
